Our story
Built for foreign founders who didn't know they owed the IRS a form
Every year, thousands of foreign entrepreneurs register US LLCs, to access Stripe, build US credit, or operate a US-facing business. Most get the paperwork right for the state. Almost none know about Form 5472.
Form 5472 is an IRS information return. Foreign-owned US LLCs must file it with a pro forma Form 1120 every year, even with zero revenue, even with zero US transactions. Miss it and the penalty starts at $25,000 per form per year.
We built fylit.tax because that penalty is almost always preventable. The form is not complex. The problem is that nobody tells you it exists until you get a notice.
Fylit is software: it collects the facts you choose to enter, organizes them into compliance drafts, and helps you track deadlines. You review everything with a licensed tax professional before anything is filed, Fylit does not file on your behalf.
