Who we are

Fylit is a free educational website about IRS Form 5472 and foreign-owned U.S. LLC reporting, at https://fylit.tax. Vyrtox LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, operates it and is the controller of the personal information described here. Corporate information: https://vyrtox.com. What we collect from visitors

Reading the site, using a calculator or checker, and following links to the IRS do not require an account, and we do not ask who you are.

Anonymous usage counts: which page was viewed, how the visit started (the referring website or a campaign label in the link), which tool was used, and whether a link or button was clicked. These records are sent without cookies and carry no visitor identifier. We do not store your IP address or browser details in them, and we discard traffic that identifies itself as a crawler or script. We do not record these counts if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

Short-lived technical counters that limit how often one network address can submit a form, kept only briefly to prevent abuse, and standard server and security logs, which our hosting and network providers keep for a limited period and which include technical details such as IP address, browser type and timestamps.

If you join the waitlist

You answer a short age check, tick a box to receive email, and then confirm by clicking a link we email you (double opt-in). Until you confirm we do not email you again, and we delete unconfirmed requests after 30 days. We store your email address, an optional first name, which boxes you ticked and the exact wording next to each, when you ticked them, the page you joined from and the campaign or referring website, and any multiple-choice answers you choose. There are no free-text fields. We do not keep your answer to the age check.

Nothing is ticked for you. We email you only for the purposes you ticked, rarely, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe link and our postal address. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us. After you unsubscribe we keep your email address and the date, only so that we do not email you again.

What we do not collect

On this site we do not ask for or accept tax identification numbers (EIN, ITIN or foreign tax IDs), bank statements, transaction details, tax returns or uploaded documents. Please do not send them to us by email either. We do not use your information to make decisions that significantly affect you, and we do not use automated profiling.

Why we use it, and our legal bases

To run and secure the site, to understand in aggregate which resources and tools people want, and to send the emails you asked for. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.

Where laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply, we rely on your consent for waitlist email (which you can withdraw at any time without affecting earlier processing), on our legitimate interests in running a secure website and understanding aggregate demand (balanced against your rights, and you may object), and on legal obligation where we are required to keep a record.

Categories of personal information (California and similar laws)

In the last twelve months we collected: identifiers (email address and optional first name, only from people who joined the waitlist), commercial-interest answers chosen from fixed lists (for example what you were looking for), and internet activity in anonymous form (page, referrer and tool-use counts). We collect these directly from you or your browser, for the purposes above. We do not sell or share personal information, do not collect sensitive personal information on this site, and do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising their rights.

People who used Fylit's earlier filing tool

Until the tool was switched off, Fylit offered software that built draft forms from answers people entered. It is no longer available. Information that people entered while it was available is not shown publicly and is not used for marketing, and the people who used it are not added to any mailing list.

That information is held in restricted storage while we confirm how long it must be kept, because we may be required to keep it or may need it to answer questions from those people or from authorities. Payment processors keep their own records of any past payments. To ask about your information, including to ask for access, correction or deletion, email [email protected]. We handle each request individually and will tell you if something must be kept and why.

Processors and service providers

Visitors: the site is served by our hosting and network providers, and email you asked for is sent through our email delivery provider. Those are the only outside services that receive visitor data. We load no third-party analytics, session recording, advertising or tracking scripts, and our fonts are served from our own domain, so your browser does not contact a font or script provider when you read a page.

People who used the earlier filing tool: file storage (Cloudflare R2) held uploaded documents and generated packets, and Stripe processed any past payments. Stripe keeps its own transaction records.

These providers act on our instructions and under contractual safeguards. If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate, under the transfer safeguards the law requires.

Retention and security

Anonymous usage counts are kept as long as they are useful for aggregate reporting. Waitlist records are kept until you ask us to delete them or we close the waitlist, apart from the minimal record needed to honor an unsubscribe, and we review the list at least every two years and delete addresses we no longer need.

We use administrative, technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit. No method is 100% secure. If a breach affects your information we will notify you and regulators as the law requires.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live you may have the right to know what we hold, to access, correct, delete, restrict or port it, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. You can use a browser setting or a Global Privacy Control signal to stop even the anonymous counts. To exercise a right, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your request, and we respond within the time the law requires. If you disagree with our answer you may appeal by replying to us. If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland you may also complain to your supervisory authority.

Children

The site is not directed to children. Every form that asks for a name or email first asks for your birth month and year, without saying which answers are accepted. If you are under 16, nothing is collected or stored. We use 16 because the age of digital consent under the GDPR is set by each EU country between 13 and 16, and it is stricter than the US rule for under-13s (COPPA). We check your answer and do not keep it. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy and will post the new date here. If a change materially affects how we use information people gave us, we will tell the people on the waitlist by email before it takes effect.
